I have been posting a lot of pics from this photo shoot this week and I will continue to post more as I get them. But here is the "smokey eye" look we did on one of our models. On the left is the before pic and on the right is the after pic. I used all Younique Products makeup; eye shadow, brushes, foundation and blush. Take your look from Day to Night

Often times when you are getting ready in the morning you don't have a lot of time to spend on perfecting your makeup. And if you are heading out to a busy day, then chances are that you wont have a lot of time to touch up before you go out later that night. Here is a quick and easy look that anyone can recreate to transition from day to night.

1)- I used MAC's Matte Shadow ,'Espresso', on my eyebrows and filled them in using a flat angle brush.
2)- I used Younique Moodstruck Shadow,'Sexy', on my brow bone with a firm makeup brush (to apply more color onto the surface)
3)- Above the crease I used Younique Moodstruck Shadow,'Gorgeous'. With a soft, fluffy brush I applied it in a swiping (like windshield wipers) motion across the surface.
4)- Into the crease and over the eyelid, I applied the MAC's Matte Shadow,'Espresso'. Again, with a swiping motion and dabbing over the lid with a semi firm brush.
5)- I then used a flat angle brush to draw M AC's paint pod,'Blackground', as the liner.
6)-  I applied mascara and....

Here ya go.... Ready for the day!

TRANSITIONING TO NIGHT

1)- On the outer crease and blended into the crease, I used Younique Moodstruck Shadow,'Daring'. With a solid brush, I applied color in an side angle 'V' shape on the outer crease then I used a soft, fluffy brush to blend.
2)- I used the same,'Daring', shadow and blended into the lower lash line of the eye.
3)- On the inner and middle lower lash line I dabbed on more,'Gorgeous', shadow and blended into the darker color.
4)- Lastly, I applied a pencil black liner into the lower lash line just above the lashes.

And here's the result! Your ready to hit the town!

You can use a variety of colors to recreate this same sort of look and it really is so easy! Blending is key! Find a good brush for blending and practice in your free time! Everyone knows the phrase, Practice Makes Perfect!

Beauty Tip of The Day!

Brides to be....

Spring is just around the corner and with that said let the wedding season begin... Every year at this time I start getting calls from many brides-to-be to have me do their makeup for their big day! I cant complain because I LOVE working on weddings! Its just a fun atmosphere! You cant help but get sucked into the excitement of it all. I get taken back to my wedding day and feel those same nervous, happy, and love feelings as I talk with the brides and make them feel beautiful for their special day.
With all the emotion this day brings there are bound to be tears! But as a Makeup Aritst its my duty to prevent you from "crying ugly".  ;)  No bride wants to have black streams falling down her cheeks or smudged mascara all over her eyes. The solution? Water Proof Mascara! Practically every big name brand has some but I can achieve the same results with the mascaras at the grocery store. In my oppinion, when it comes to mascara, I can never go wrong with Maybelline and Loreal.  Here are my favorite over-the-counter waterproof mascaras....
If your looking for tips on removing waterproof mascara check out last weeks Beauty Tip on "best makeup removers".  Hope you have a fabulous day!!!

Beauty Tip of the Day

BEAUTY TIP OF THE DAY ...

This last year has been eventful to say the least. With that said, I haven't been able to put as much energy into my blushbrush-ing :)   So its now my personal goal to do my best to keep this blog updated each day. Here goes...
Today's beauty tip has to do with makeup remover. I have extremely watery eyes which makes doing my own makeup so frustrating sometimes. I pretty much stick to wearing my "go to" waterproof mascaras to avoid black tears streaming down my cheeks all day.  Maybelline and Loreal have some great affordable water proof mascaras. But while waterproof makeup has its benefits, it is also much harder to get  off at the end of the day. I personally don't like using oil-based makeup removers that can clog your pores so with my own personal experience I have found that the best (affordable) makeup remover to be Neutrogena's oil free makeup remover. I use both the wipes and the bottle shown below. Both work great! You can apply the liquid onto a rag or q-tip and simply wipe your makeup off. The wipes are pretty much self explanatory. I hope this was helpful in some way! Happy Friday!

Cory and Melissa's Wedding

Makeup by Cherise Weymann
Photography by David Terry
Hair by Haley Johnson

This wedding was an absolute BLAST to work with! Melissa and her family are from Brazil and couldn't be more fun! I used airbrush foundation and finished a full look on not only the bride, Melissa, but also on her sister, Vanessa, and her mother, Iris, and bridesmaid, Laura! They all looked amazing! They were so cute with me and Haley. We loved working with all of them and wish Cory and Mel the happiest life together!
